Terms & Conditions – e-Talab

Welcome to e-Talab, an online delivery platform that connects customers with restaurants, stores, and delivery partners across Jordan. By using our services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions:


1. Acceptance of Terms

  • By registering, browsing, or placing an order through e-Talab, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

  • If you do not agree, please stop using the platform.


2. Services

  • e-Talab is an intermediary platform between customers, restaurants/stores, and delivery partners.

  • We do not prepare or sell food ourselves. Responsibility for food preparation, quality, and compliance with health regulations lies with the merchant.

  • Delivery times are estimates and may vary due to traffic, weather, or preparation time.


3. User Responsibilities

  • You must be 18 years or older to use the service.

  • You agree to provide accurate account details, delivery addresses, and payment information.

  • You are responsible for keeping your account details (username, password) secure.


4. Orders & Payments

  • Orders are confirmed once accepted by the restaurant.

  • Prices are shown in Jordanian Dinar (JOD) and may include applicable taxes and delivery fees.

  • Payment methods: credit/debit cards, e-wallets, or cash on delivery (if available).

  • If payment fails, the order will not be processed.


5. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Once accepted by the restaurant, an order cannot be cancelled except in special cases.

  • Refunds may apply in cases of:

    • Order not delivered.

    • Wrong items delivered.

    • Missing or damaged items.

  • Refund processing may take up to 7 business days.


6. Restaurant & Merchant Responsibility

  • Merchants are responsible for food quality, safety, and compliance with Jordanian health standards.

  • Menu availability and prices are determined by the merchants.

  • e-Talab is not liable for taste, portion size, or food freshness.


7. Delivery Terms

  • Delivery times are approximate and not guaranteed.

  • Customers must be available at the delivery address to receive their orders.

  • If the delivery partner cannot reach the customer, the order may be cancelled and charges may still apply.


8. Limitation of Liability

  • e-Talab is not responsible for:

    • Food preparation or packaging.

    • Delays caused by restaurants, riders, traffic, or unforeseen events.

  • Our maximum liability is limited to the value of the order.


9. Account Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

  • Provide false or misleading information.

  • Misuse the service (fraud, repeated cancellations, harassment).

  • Violate these Terms & Conditions.


10. Changes to Terms

  • e-Talab may update these Terms & Conditions at any time.

  • Users will be notified via the app or website.

  • Continued use of the platform means acceptance of the updated terms.


11. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Jordanian courts.
